Pastor Matt Irving
Pastor Matt Irving was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and came to the saving grace of Jesus Christ at a young age. Matt married the love of his life, Sarah, in 1997. They are the proud parents of 2 adult children who are faithfully serving the Lord.
The church is not just an institution, but God’s design, to teach, serve, and protect His people. Matt has been given multiple opportunities to serve, love, and lead in many aspects of church life throughout his years.
Having spent a career in business and technology while serving faithfully as a lay leader, deacon, home group leader, and Bible teacher, Matt strongly felt the call to full time ministry later in life, and by the grace of God, has been pastoring NorthStar Baptist Church since July 2023.
Pastor Matt loves the admonition found in 1 Peter 5:1-3 – “shepherd the flock of God that is among you” – and strives to faithfully live that out at NorthStar.
